Allergy Reactions

I'm down with allergy and I'm working from home for the first half of the day today. I wanted to go to work initially but changed my mind later as my face looked horrible. Dont wanna scare people away (hahaha). I'm feeling much better now.. just some slight itching... The rashes has subsided after applying the cream and eating the medicine given by the doctor.

I cleaned up my room and re-arranged things again. I still find my room lacking of something. Not sure what it is though.. hmm.. If I were to rate my new room, I'll only give 50% to it.

I found this stress ball which I bought in the UK in April. Who needs to borrow it, just give me a shout yah! I think it's pretty useful to those who watches the
WORLDCUP ;)

FIFA World Cup Fever

Football here.. football there.. Wherever you go, you'll hear people talking about football.. I'm not a great fan of football actually but because everyone watches it, I joined in the craze :)

I have to admit that it's pretty exciting watching the game. You'll hear me shout and jump whenever the players try to aim for the goal! (Wahaha.. ) 56 more games to go! Have fun watching, people!

Short Trip to Cameron Highlands

Dad suggested to go to Camerons. That's his favourite place for eating steamboat and vegetables. I like Camerons too especially the weather. Nice and cooling with lots of greens surrounding you. A getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city life. As for mum, that's a superb place for buying fresh vegetables.

There are just so many types of vegetables to choose. Which one should I buy?

KarAoke Session

Faye invited us to her Birthday Bash at the Red-Box KarAoke last Saturday. It's been a long time since I last stepped foot to a karaoke session. It's not because I don't like singing, but I can't sing Chinese songs... :( I've tried really hard to memorize the chinese lyrics so that I can sing a few songs but it's just too difficult for me.
Anyway, we had a whale of a time that night. They knew I'm a great fan of clubbing so they sang some fast tempo songs while I danced. :)

This was the birthday pressie I gave Faye. It was a ‘GAP’ belt which I bought from UK. Hope she liked it.

Then it was time to cut the cake. We're supposed to play a prank on Faye but looked what she did to us. I pity my dear... While he was singing, Faye suddenly came over with a piece of cake and smashed it to his face.. The funny thing was, my dear continued to sing.. and switched his song to .. 'Close my eyes... give me your hand.....' :D

Well, we did take revenge on Faye of course. When the staffs delivered two bottles of champagne, I'm sure you know what the guys did. They shaked it, pushed up and out against the cork and voila! The cork 'popped' and wine sprayed out. They were aiming at Faye!! haha.. I was hiding somewhere and didn't get wet. Poor Faye! She got all wet..

After that, we had to quickly clean up our mess. If the staffs found out what we did, we could be fined. haha.. but within minutes, everything was back to normal and when the waiter came in to clear some stuffs, he didn’t notice the room was wet.. We were quick! :)

Happy Birthday Faye!!!

It's Faye's birthday this weekend! I would like to wish her a Joyous birthday!

I've created something for her for her birthday this year. Something which i've never done before. So, she's the first to get it and hope she'll feel privileged.

The title of my artwork is the many faces of Faye! Hope she likes it. :)

Arcade games

When did you last go into an arcade centre? I remember back during the school days, that's the most happening place to be. The famous games in the arcades those days were the Daytona car racing, Time Crisis and much more. I'm quite good at these two games too back then.. ;)

I passed by Sungai Wang's arcade centre yesterday and I'm quite surprised to see quite a number of people in there which were mostly guys except 2 school girls who were dancing at the dancing machines. Most of them were in their mid-twenties and some were even dressed in their working attire. What a good way to pass time or to release stress after a hard day's work.

Just imagine handling a very difficult client and the client is really driving down your nerves. You cant fight back with the client. So, best way is to go to the arcade and engage yourself into a fighting game so that you can knock down your opponent by kicking and punching him.. haha... Not a bad idea to release stress rite? :)

Cruise to no-where

It was a long weekend break last week. My dad took us on a one day cruise to no-where.

The ship is a gambling ship. It will sail out to the sea and then back to the port . Our purpose is not to gamble of course. My dad’s friend invited us there for a night stay.

It was a quite a cool experience.... being treated as VIPs in the ship… There's a cordoned off area with a table reserved for us for dinner. Two cruise cabin staffs served us food. Other passengers looked at us in envy as it’s a buffet dinner for them ;) At the club, there’s a reserved table which is right in front of the stage for us to see the performance for the night. After that, a cabin staff took us around the ship and introduced us to the captain and the engineers of the ship. Quite cool rite?

This is our room for the night. Not too bad... :)

Catching up

I’ve been very busy ever since I came back from UK. I’m super busy at work (which is a good thing), and lots of catching up with friends as well. Let me recap on the thing’s I’ve done for the past 10 days.

1st of May....

Just two days after coming back from UK, I went on a short trip to Taiping. The initial plan was to go up to Maxwell Hill to see tulips but we were late. All tickets were snapped up. Guess where we went next?--> ZOO. I’ve been to Taiping Zoo before but that was many years ago.

What I think about the Zoo.. Hmm..The zoo was not as big as I thought but it was very well kept and it’s quite clean. There were not many animals in the zoo though. I only saw one giraffe but they have other special animals like the kangaroos.

6th of May...

What comes into your mind when I say about Melaka? For me, it's food food food. There's plenty of yummy food that you can find in Melaka. One thing that I always crave for is the Nyona Cendol. I went to Melaka last weekend to get some stuffs from my friend and also for food of course. Walked round the town and visited A Famosa as well. I then came across a street where they sell antiques and old junks. Hmm.. should I go search around my house for all these old junks and open up a stall there as well? haha...

Am I in Holland?Red House

Look at these.. they look so cute...

Last weekend in London

London makes me feel like I’m back home last Saturday. The sun was shinning brightly and it was hot hot hot. It’s much hotter than KL to be exact. Your skin hurts when you are out there in the sun. All the ‘Ang Mos’ were just lying down on the grass to tan themselves whereas we girls, tried to walk at pathways where there’s shades. I don’t wanna get dark!! We didn’t put such a great day to waste of course. We went to Buckingham palace and the park. There were many people in the park and also surrounding the palace to catch a glimpse of the queen as it was the Queen’s 80th birthday.

By the way, this will be my last entry about places of interest in UK as I’ll be flying home this Friday! I’m going home people!!! :)

The one and only London Bridge :)

Here comes the answer for the previous post

If you look closely at the red circle, you’ll be able to see the word ‘London Bridge’ written on it. Let me zoom closer to the picture.

So, Bridge 1 = London Bridge! Applause applause to those who got it right. :)

What is Bridge No. 2 then?

That’s Southwark Bridge

Bridge No 3 is of course the famous Tower Bridge ;)

Wales Trip - Part 2

Beaumaris - 15th of April

We visited Beaumaris castle which was famous for its symmetry design. It was built by King Edward I in Wales but this castle was never fully realized. We can see Snowdonia mountain from the castle and the view was spectacular.

Llandudno - 16th of April

We took a boat trip to view the stunning Great Orme in the morning.

After that, we drove up to Great Orme and hiked up to the peak of Great Orme. It wasn’t easy for us to get up to the top because of our “physical fitness” level. Look at the picture below! We had to climb all the way up to the peak.

I’m nearly there! Woohooo!!!!! I’ve reached the peak at last!!!!!!!!!

Wales Trip - Part 1

I’m back from Wales!!!! To sum everything up, North Wales is the land of sheep and lambs, mountains and water, as I can find them almost everywhere. Good Feng Shui place! :) I've uploaded the pictures taken during my trip in my photo album. You can check it out here. Enjoy

Barmouth - 14th of April 2006
It was a lovely sunny day and I finally don’t have to wear my coat. What is better than going to the beach on a sunny day out like this? The beach is surrounded by beautiful scenery and with the temperature of about 13 degree Celsius, it’s SUPERB!

We stayed at ‘Seashell B&B’ and were given a room facing the sea front. Gorgeous sea view from my bed!

Porthmadog - 15th of April 2006
Have you ever seen a steam train? We managed to take some shots of the steam train.

After that, we headed down to Blaenau Ffestiniog exploring Llechwedd Slate Caverns. Blaenau Ffestiniog is famous for slates. We visited the mines and find out all about the subterranean world of the slate miner and discover an amazing underground lake. It was a good visit but not much pictures were taken as it was in darkness most of the time.

We went to ‘That place with the long name’– (take a deep breath) ‘Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch’. There's a refurbished Victoria train station with the longest name in the world. The meaning of that long name is actually 'The church of St. Mary in the hollow of white hazel trees near the rapid whirlpool by St. Tysilio's of the red cave'.

Happy Easter -> Hello Wales!

Yahoo.. It’s Easter break tomorrow till Monday. I’ll be off to Wales for 4 days.

Where’s Wales?
Let me give you a geography lesson today *ehem*. Please forgive me if you’re still not sure where Wales is after this lesson as I suck in Geography. :P
As you know (I assume you know), United Kingdom consists of 4 countries -> England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Check out the map below. UK is the area coloured in green.

Why Wales?
I’ve explored some parts of England, some parts of Scotland and some parts of Ireland before. So this time, I’ll explore WALES. After this trip, I can finally say I’ve been to all parts of UK.

The place that I’m visiting this time will be the Northern part -> North Wales, which is famous for its beautiful scenery. What else is there to see besides scenery? There will be mines: copper mines and slate mines. I’ll let you guys know more after the trip.

Wales is the area in yellow. We'll be exploring the area in red

Oh, by the way, I’ll let you guys know which is London bridge after the trip.

Happy Easter!!!!!

Oxford = "Ngau Chun - Funny name"

Spring is here!! There’s plenty of sunshine and rain, some sightings of flowers, squirrels, insects… and in a week’s time, I think I’ll be able to see lots more.. I’ll be able to see more colours! :)

I managed to squeeze some time to Oxford last Saturday when we finished our shopping early.

Shop till you drop!

I’ve been shopping every weekend ever since I stepped foot into this country. I think it must be some “outlet shopping virus” which is spreading widely here. ;) My mum thinks I’m ‘a crazy shopaholic’ because every time she asks me about my weekend plan, I’ll definitely say ‘Shopping’!

What exactly are “outlet shops”?
Outlet shops are shops which manufacturers sell items directly to the public at a heavily reduced price.

What will happen if you are affected by this virus?
Everyone will have different symptoms. For me, whenever I pass by my favourite designer labels, I’ll automatically go into the shop and browse for bags and then clothes and then accessories. If I see something nice and the price is interesting, I’ll end up buying it. So you’ll be spending a lot and buying some unnecessary things.

I went into DKNY shop last Saturday and headed straight into the bags section. I found 3 handbags (2 black and 1 red) which I’ve seen back in KL before. Something tells me that I must get one of these. If I were to buy this bag, it will be my 3rd purchase of bags in UK. Don’t you think that’s quite a lot in a month? Anyway, I put the bag back on the rack and went out of the shop. Guess what I did after 10 minutes? I have decided to buy the bag and went back to the shop. Oh no! All the black ones were gone and only the red one left. I quickly grabbed it and headed straight to the cashier. I was lucky to be able to buy the last piece.. Imagine.. all 3 bags sold in just 15 minutes.

What is the effect of this virus?
The very obvious effect is of course my HEALTH(bank a/c) level is getting lower and lower.. and it’s reaching the UNHEALTHY level.. Another one is of course the limited baggage allowance of 20kg which is soo sooo little.. I’ll get fine if I exceed the given baggage allowance

How to cure this virus?
By using the ‘Sight-seeing Antivirus’. Hope this will work. :)
